A "cookie" is a small piece of data placed on your computer by a web server when visiting certain websites. This data usually contains encoded information that informs the web server how and when you have used their site.
There are two types of cookies used by Express Canada:
One type of cookie currently used by Express Canada is a session cookie. These cookies are stored in temporary memory and will disappear after you leave the Express Canada website. These cookies enable you to move back and forth within a secure online session. When you leave the site, they expire and are no longer active.
Another type of cookie used by Express Canada is a persistent cookie. These cookies are kept on your online device for longer, usually 30 to 90 days, and may be longer in some cases (e.g. Google Analytics Cookies). They are used to monitor your activity on the Express Canada websites and, based on your interests, offer you relevant ads when you visit our sites or partner websites elsewhere on the Internet. This type of cookie is also used as part of our user authentication procedure to help ensure that unauthorized individuals are prevented from accessing your Account(s). Another type of cookie we use (sometimes referred to as Spotlight technology) is used for site personalization, internal reporting, statistics, marketing (by allowing us to offer Express Canada products or services that may be of interest to you), and to measure user visits. This information is not shared with outside organizations. These cookies are pixels, or transparent GIF files, to help manage online advertising. These GIF files are provided by our ad management partner. These files enable our ad management partner to recognize a unique cookie on your web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our website. The cookie was placed by us, or by another advertiser who works with our ad management partner. With both cookies and Spotlight technology, the information that we collect is anonymous and not identifiable to you personally. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number, email address or any other personal information. Express Canada does not and will not use cookies to retrieve data from your hard drive or to obtain your email address or other personal information.
If you don’t agree with Express Canada's use of cookies, please discontinue the use of this website.
